Mentorship Program
The first-of-its-kind mentorship experience for women and underrepresented voices in comedy
This program is a radical act of solidarity, created to rewrite the way we rise in comedy. Born from the shared experience of wishing we had someone in our corner early on, this initiative pairs early-career comics with seasoned pros for a short but powerful season of support.This isn’t about bios, showcases, or checking boxes. It’s about legacy. Laughter. And lifting each other up.
What It Is:
1:1 match between an emerging comic and an established comedian
A 2-month guided mentorship journey
Three 30-minute virtual sessions (on your schedule)
A reflective legacy letter from each mentor for their mentee
No frills. No gatekeeping. Just real connection.
Why It Matters:
Most of us started comedy without a blueprint. Without a cheerleader. Without someone to say, “You’re not crazy — this is hard.” The Comic You Needed exists to fill that gap, center community over competition, and keep the door open behind us.
PreReq- Comedians interested in TLC’s Mentorship Program must complete our education program (Levels 1 - 3) or complete a series of coaching sessions, number determinant on experience.
